ESTONIAN island tour/ 3 days

Day 1

Muhu island - third biggest Estonian Island; Emu mill.

Next visit Saaremaa island and the impressive Kaali meteorite crater. The fall of the meteorite in already inhabited Saaremaa island caused great damages, that can be assimilated to the damage done by a small nuclear bomb.

In the list of biggest meteorite crater's in the world, Kaali crater takes the 8th place.

The 14th century Kuresaare bishop's castle - the best example of the convent type castle in the Baltic states with a gothic interior.


Day 2

Kaarma church and the peculiarly build castle mound.

20m high Panga cliffs. If the weather is right, a short, a little extreme hike elong the foot of the cliffs is possible.

Get a feeling of being in Holland right here in Estonia - Angla windmill complex; the typical Saaremaa windmills of the 20th century and Holland type windmills ar found here.

Ferry crossing to Hiiumaa island.

Short walk to the sea washed Orjaku land strip, on the way enjoying juniper 'jungle' - the so called alvars.

The symbol of Hiiumaa - Kõpu lighthouse.

Monument dedicated to the passengers of ferry MS Estonia and the unusual labyrinth in Tahkuna cape.


Day 3

Walk through the alvars to the great Kukka boulder and history's eyewitness - Puhalepa church.

Suuremõisa manor complex. The manor built in the 18th century is one of the biggest manor buildings in Estonia. The manor's main asset is the pure rococo baroque style. The park is formed in an English style more than 200 years ago.

Ferry crossing to the contintent.

A short stop at medieval village Haapsalu.
